1. What this site does

VidGrab helps you download publicly-available videos from TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. You paste a link, we fetch the file, and we hand it to your browser. We do not need an account or any personal information from you to use the service.

2. Information we collect

Server logs. Standard web-server logs (IP address, user-agent, request URL, status code) are kept for up to 14 days for abuse prevention. They are never sold or shared.

Cookies. The site sets a single, optional, signed cookie when an administrator logs in to the /admin panel. No tracking cookies, no third-party analytics, no advertising scripts.

Downloads. We do not keep the videos you download. Files are streamed directly to your browser and deleted from our disk within minutes.

3. Rate limiting

To keep the service free and stable, requests to the public API are rate-limited per IP. The current limit is published in our About page. Hitting the limit does not collect any extra information about you — the server just delays the response.

4. Third parties

We do not embed any third-party trackers, ads, or analytics. The only external requests your browser makes are to TikTok/Instagram/Facebook themselves (for thumbnails and metadata) when you use the downloader.

5. Your rights

Because we don't keep any personal data beyond short-lived server logs, there is nothing for us to export or delete on request. If you're a researcher or a regulator who wants to confirm this, the source code is open and you can verify the behaviour yourself.

6. Children

The service is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly process any data belonging to children. If you believe a child has used the service and this raises a concern, please contact us so we can investigate.

7. Changes to this policy

If we ever change this policy in a meaningful way we'll bump the date at the top of this page. Substantive changes will also be announced on the home page.
